How much does a photoshoot cost in Spain? Prices and guide for 2026
What the price of a photoshoot includes, how much each type costs (portrait, couple, family, holiday, business, product), what pushes it up or down and how to compare quotes without surprises.

"How much does a photoshoot cost?" is the first question almost everyone asks us, and the honest answer is: it depends on the session, how long it lasts, where it takes place and what you get at the end. Two quotes with the same figure can include very different things. In this guide, as photographers working across Spain, we explain what the price of a photoshoot includes, how much each type of session costs with us, which factors push the price up or down, which extra costs are worth asking about and how to compare quotes so you choose well.
What the price of a photoshoot really includes
Time in front of the camera is only part of the work. Before the session there is a conversation to understand what you are looking for, choosing the location and the time of day for the light, and sometimes booking permits. Afterwards comes selecting the best photos, editing them one by one and delivering them in a private gallery.
That is why, when you compare prices, the useful question is not just how much it costs but what you get: how many edited photos, how soon, at what resolution, whether you can print and share them freely and whether travel is included. A low price that leaves out editing or charges for each photo separately can end up costing more.
Prices by type of session
Individual portrait: the simplest session, ideal for personal photos, professional profiles or a gift. With us it starts from €150. Lifestyle, street style and night portrait sessions are priced similarly, because the work is much the same.
Couples, love story and proposals: these start from €170. A surprise proposal (€170) takes a bit more coordination, because we have to stay hidden, time the moment and be ready for the unexpected.
Family and maternity: a family session starts from €180 and a maternity session from €190. With young children we leave extra time, because the best photos come when they feel comfortable, not when the clock says so.
Holidays and travel: if you are visiting Barcelona, Mallorca, Seville or any other city, a holiday photoshoot starts from €150. It is one of the easiest ways to go home with photos that have all of you in them, not just the scenery.
Sessions for businesses and brands
Corporate headshots start from €120 and are one of the quickest sessions: a considered background, controlled light and several expressions to choose from. For a whole team, we quote by the number of people, and it usually works out cheaper per person.
Content for brands and social media starts from €180, and product photography from €250. Here the price depends a lot on the number of products, the style (white background or styled scene) and how you plan to use the images. Real estate photography starts from €200.
For commercial work it is worth being clear from the start about where the photos will be used: website, social media, paid ads or a printed catalogue. It does not change the quality, but it does change the planning and, in some cases, the quote.
What makes the price go up or down
Duration is the main factor: one hour in a single location is not the same as half a day moving between three settings. The number of people also counts, as do outfit changes, because each change takes up session time.
Location and time of day matter more than you might think. A sunrise session at a very touristy spot, such as Park Güell or the Plaza de España in Seville, means an early start, planning and sometimes permits. Travel outside the city, for example to a cove or an inland village, is added to the quote.
Finally, the level of editing: natural colour and light retouching is included, while heavy beauty retouching, photo composites or a very elaborate style take more hours of work.
Extra costs worth asking about
Some costs depend not on the photographer but on the location: municipal permits for professional sessions in certain parks or beaches, tickets to monuments, renting a studio or a private terrace. They are not always needed, but it is good to know before you book.
Other common extras are hair and make-up, wardrobe or props, prints and albums, or rush delivery. A good photographer mentions them upfront; if they do not, ask. What matters is that the final quote holds no surprises.
Does the price change from city to city?
In many industries Madrid, Barcelona or the islands are more expensive, but in our case the price of each session is the same in every city where we work, from Madrid and Barcelona to Málaga, Valencia, Tenerife or Mallorca. The only thing that can change is travel, if the session is outside the city.
What does vary is the planning: in a city with a lot of tourism we choose early hours and lesser-known corners, and on an island we factor in the journeys between beaches and viewpoints. We sort all of that out before the session so all you have to do is enjoy it.
How to compare quotes
Always ask every photographer for the same things: duration, approximate number of edited photos, delivery time, format, travel and the policy on changes or rain. With us, most sessions are delivered in 5-10 days in a private gallery, in high resolution and ready to print and share.
Look at the full portfolio, not just the five best photos: a whole gallery tells you much more about how the photographer works with light, with people and with unexpected moments. And be wary of very low prices without details: they often hide limited editing, slow delivery or photos charged one by one.
How to save without losing quality
Book outside the high season: between November and March there is more availability, the light is beautiful and the cities are calmer. Pick one well-chosen location instead of rushing through three, and make the most of the first or last hours of the day, which give better photos without any extra equipment.
If you are planning several sessions, for example couple and family photos on the same trip, ask about combining them on the same day. And come with your outfits planned in advance: it is what saves the most time on the day of the shoot.
